I am waiting to see how Guild Wars 2 turns out, I'm just waiting patiently on that and reserving speculation and opinions though.
I do understand the Hot Coffee thing yes - but I have seen people adding new cars to San Andreas and stuff like that, it may not be actively supported I could definitely agree to that, but I am sure people will find ways to do it.

SA modding is pretty well supported (or was) actually.
There is many ways to prevent modding, simply making the game fail to run if anything isn't stock etc. Which would be illegalz to change.
Also GW was successful, but it still failed.

Yup Age of Empires, I enjoy all of them, but I only have the first one and the third one, because the second one got destroyed by my brothers.
PS: Went totally off-topic, I need to stop doing that lol.

I did 2 characters, a sin to 50 and a ranger to 26. Between needing a Cray 4 to run the game on anything other than mediocre settings, content that turned into sheer grind past 40, and the sad status of ganking, the game died off quick.
Ali, if the game is so busy, why is it you can't find a server with more than 50 people on it? There are a lot of people who registered for two-three month subscriptions, but aren't playing the game anymore(raises hand). Fsck-com counts all these as subscribers. Are you also naive enough to think they won't lie to their stockholders, or fudge it a little? Heck, these claims TECHNICALLY are true. Go on OOC and try to get a group for Sanctum. Enjoy the wait.
The crafting system was flawed. PvP was a joke. Sieges broke because of -10 FPS from all the people. I haven't seen a game abandoned so bad since Hellgate:London. It gave me a new found appreciation for Guild Wars. The fact they did a game, with lower graphics settings, that looks as good(in some ways better than), has better content, and better pvp, is amazing.
